Tayamaan bags just became the “apple of the eye” of Cong. Josephine Ramirez – Sato.
In our previous article, we mentioned about Cong. Josephine Ramirez-Sato staying with the crowd during a Consultative Meeting in Brgy. Tayamaan. By the time she took her seat, a representative for women sector was called to give a message and talk about their Samahan Ng Kababaihan Ng Tayamaan.
Their Samahan, after receiving capital seed from barangay through LGU, has been making bags with beads as main accessory.

This caught the attention of Cong. Ramirez-Sato’s interest. Thus, after the speech, Cong. Nene asked the women sector’s representative if they can bring some of their works.
Moments later, two members returned with bags and handed them to Cong. Nene who enthusiastically checked the women’s master piece.
Cong. Nene was delighted to know that the Tayamaan bags were hand-made by Kababaihan members, expressing appreciation to their skills once in while and flashing smile as she talk with them.
For a moment, Cong. Nene appeared to be confused, trying to decide which bag to buy. Finally, she made up her mind and asked the women how much she will pay for the two bags she has chosen.
Again, her eyes expressed signs of being surprised when she was told that one bag costs P500.00, and the other at P1,000.00.
“These are beautiful!”, she almost shouted, causing the women to laugh.

In a phone interview, Samahan Ng Kababaihan Ng Tayamaan President Baby Lapiad confirmed that Cong. Josephine Ramirez-Sato did bought two bags from them costing P500.00 and P1,000.00 respectively.
She said they’re now more inspired to make more bags and were pleased to know that Cong. Nene liked their bags.
