Still reeling from the devastation brought by floods due to heavy rains last week, the Municipality of Naujan in the Province of Oriental Mindoro now records its first Covid-19 case in 2021, January 6.
FROM THE INSIDE:
- ‘Doktor Para Sa Bayan Act’, pirmado na ni Duterte
- Mga bagong public offices sa Lubang, pinasinayaan
- Anong ginawa ni Cong. Nene Sato sa Congress in the last 6 years?
- Ano ang ‘Kwentong Pasko’ mo?
Based on the announcement made by Mayor Atty. Mark N. Marcos through his Facebook page, the patient is an 18-year old female from Brgy. Naiba 2.
Mayor Marcos added that the patient was admitted to Naujan Community Hospital last January due to cough and difficulty in breathing.
She eventually tested positive to Covid-19.
According to Dr. Emmanuel Hernandez of NCH, while being treated, some of the hospital’s personnel were exposed to the patient. This prompted him to temporarily prohibit the conduct of out-patient consultation. They however promised to inform the public as to when they will resume public consultation.
Contact tracing is currently being done.
The patient remains in the care of Naujan Community Hospital.
This on the other hand increased the number of Naujan’s identified Covid-19 positive case to 37.
Mayor Marcos continued his appeal to his constituents to remain vigilant and to be more careful to avoid contacting the virus.
His post has since been shared 455 times with 419 reactions and 39 comments.
