Mayor Lyn Tria of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro is considering conducting mass testing to further identify areas with probable cases of Covid-19, September 20.

She also hinted during her Facebook Live report of implementing granular lockdown particularly in areas with high number of cases. This may also include cordoning identified households under quarantine to warn the public of the health situations in their area.
She is seeking every barangay officials’ cooperation on the matter.
However, the ideas are still be presented to Municipal IATF meeting for discussion Tuesday morning, September 21.
Mamburao’s active cases increased the last few days. Currently, there 62 active cases with 700 recorded Covid-19 cases since 2020.
The previous week also saw 10 to 11 Covid-related deaths for two consecutive days. As per Municipal Health Office‘s update as of September 20, there has been 22 deaths already.
Mayor Tria on the other hand assured the public that her administration is looking into other options to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 in the municipality.
